About Us
It Takes an Athlete to Dance. But an Artist to be a Dancer.
About Bray Dance Of School
The Bray School of Dance, formerly the Annette Hynes school of Ballet and Modern Theatre Dance was established in 1954. Sinéad Keaskin, a student of Annette’s took over as school Principal in 2006, having already worked in the school for the previous 5 years.
The school now offers training for children and students from 3 years up to professional level, in Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre/Jazz and Tap Dance. Examinations under the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing are offered in all disciplines of dance, allowing students to pursue dance as career if they so wish. Many students of the School have gone on to train and dance professionally, both nationally and internationally, and to earn recognised teaching qualifications in Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap dance.
Staged Dance Production
We offer a fully staged dance production, featuring all of our students, every alternate
year, in The Mermaid Arts Centre, Bray – the proceeds of which have been given, in the
past to the ISPCC and to Marino School, Bray.

The school has always prided itself with the highest standards and these are reflected
through our exam results and stage performances.
